Bill is a founding partner of Moody Aldrich & Sullivan which was established in 1988 and later became Moody Aldrich Partners. Bill leads the firm's management team and business strategy and oversees the firm's investment activities. Previously, he was co-founder, President and Chief Investment Officer at Dewey Square Investors, a multi-billion dollar diverse strategy firm that was sold to United Asset Management. Formerly, he was Senior Vice President and Head of Institutional Investment Management at Bank Boston for fourteen years. Bill is a Chartered Financial Analyst and earned a BS in Economics from Syracuse University.

Amory A. Aldrich, Jr.

Co-Founder, Managing Principal, Portfolio Manager

Amory is a founding partner of Moody Aldrich & Sullivan which was established in 1988 and later became Moody Aldrich Partners. Amory is a senior member of the firm's leadership team and helps direct business and investment strategy. He is the Lead Portfolio Manager on the firm's Mid Cap Value strategy. Previously, he was co-founder, Director of Research and a Portfolio Manager at Dewey Square Investors from 1982 to 1988. Formerly, Amory was a Portfolio Manager and Director of Quantitative Research at Bank Boston for fourteen years. He earned a MS in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and a BS degree in Physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Michael C. Pierre

Principal, Portfolio Manager

Mike is a Principal and Portfolio Manager at Moody Aldrich Partners. Previously he was founder of Pierre & Company LLC and Portfolio Manager on its All Cap Value strategy from 2000 through 2003. From 1996-2000, Mike worked as an associate and analyst at Moody, Aldrich & Sullivan. He has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry, including at RJS Capital Management, Merrill Lynch, and The Boston Company. Mike earned a B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1991 and attended the University of Massachusetts-Boston MBA program from 1998-2002. He has also attended Executive Education Programs at Harvard Business School (2000, 2006) and NYU Stern School of Business (2001).

James M. O'Brien, CFA

Associate Portfolio Manager

Jim joined Moody Aldrich Partners in 2004 as a Senior Analyst and became an Associate Portfolio Manager on the firm's Small Cap Value strategy in 2007. Previously, he was an Equity Research Analyst at Citizens Funds for four years. Prior to that, he was a Financial Analysis Technology Strategist at Primark. Jim's experience also includes Financial Technology Business Development at One Source Information Services, Senior Fund Accountant at Fidelity Investments, and Account Specialist at Boston Safe Deposit & Trust Company. Jim earned a Masters Certificate in Accountancy and a BS degree in Economics and Finance at Bentley College.

Sarah L. Westwood, CFA, CMT

Associate Portfolio Manager

Sarah joined Moody Aldrich Partners in 2008 as an Associate Portfolio Manager. She began her career as a Research Associate for Harvard Business School, and later joined Cobey, Jacobson, and Gordon, a boutique contrarian investment management firm serving high net worth clients. She went on to serve as a Senior Vice President and Analyst on the Strategic Research Team at Putnam Investments. A former Captain, Military Intelligence, U.S. Army Reserve, Sarah served in Baghdad for ten months during Operation Iraqi Freedom, 2003-2004. She earned a BA degree in English and Art History, Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College.

Eli S. Kent, CIMA

Principal, Managing Director

Eli joined the firm in 2002 as Director of Marketing and Client Service and became a partner and Managing Director in 2005. Eli helps develop and execute the firm's business strategy and assists in the management of the firm with emphasis on client acquisition and retention and special projects. Prior to joining MAP, Eli earned an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Previously, he worked at MFS Investment Management in institutional sales and at Fidelity Investments in institutional client management. He attended The Wharton School for Executive Education at the University of Pennsylvania and received the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation. Eli also earned a BA degree in Government and History from St. Lawrence University.

Sara C. Husted

Marketing & Client Service Associate

Sara has over ten years of experience and joined the firm in 2010 as the Marketing and Client Service Associate. She services the firm's clients and consultants on various investment and relationship management issues. She is responsible for day-to-day interaction with the firm's distribution partners and works on questionnaires and various marketing initiatives. Sara began her career at Bank of America and has also worked at Wellington Management Company and Canaccord Genuity. She earned a BA degree in English from the University of New Hampshire.

Margaret L. Leonard

Director of Portfolio Administration, Chief Compliance Officer

Margaret joined the firm in 2004 as Director of Portfolio Administration and also became Chief Compliance Officer in 2007. She has over twenty years of investment experience and oversees the firm's compliance, back office, disaster recovery plans and coordinates our firm's GIPS® verification. Margaret began her career at Piper Jaffray and has worked for Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, Columbine Asset Management, and Huntley Thatcher Ellsworth. She earned a BA degree in Mathematics from Macalester College.

Jason E. Ries

Senior Trade Associate, Portfolio Administrator

Jason joined the firm in 2006 as a Portfolio Administrator and Trading Associate. Jason has thirteen years of experience and previously worked for NCM Capital Management in Durham, NC and went on to work as a Trade Operations Specialist at Oak Value Capital Management. Jason earned a BS degree in Financial Management from State University of New York at Brockport.

John P. Sherlock

John has eleven years of experience and previously worked at State Street Global Advisors in international operations as a Portfolio Accounting Analyst. John began his career at State Street Bank in Boston as a Portfolio Administrator. John earned a BA degree in Business from Saint Anselm College.

Catherine A. Bachini

Office Manager

Cathy joined the firm at its founding in 1988 and manages the office including billing, accounting, payroll, human resources, benefits, and various other support functions. Cathy has over thirty years of experience and began her career at Bank Boston as an Office Manager and Portfolio Administrator. She worked at Dewey Square Investors as a special assistant to the President, in operations and as a Client Service Manager.
